Experience Requirements
Minimum 2 years experience working in production planning and/or purchasing role.
Qualification Requirements
Working knowledge of purchasing practices & principles. Working knowledge of MRP systems and inventory control.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing/machining environment.
Responsibilities
Responsible for planning and scheduling manufacturing orders to satisfy customer requirements. Evaluate data from MRP. Review and initiate appropriate action to ensure the information in MRP will result in the correct scheduling of quantities and due dates. Communicate with engineering, production, purchasing and other relevant departments to meet production schedules. Provide input to management regarding scrap, shortages, design changes, and backlogs. Communicate with Customer Care regarding changes in customer orders and projected shipment dates.
